Side Chain Input:

In applications supporting multi-input audio units, this tool creates the sought-after pumping side-chain effect commonly used in electronic dance music. In this effect, background instruments lower their volume in sync with the kick drum's beat.

The side chain input offers two modes. The full-spectrum mode compresses each frequency band based on the complete spectrum of the side-chain input. In contrast, the single-band mode compresses each frequency band solely based on the side chain's level within that specific frequency band.

Compressor Controls:

Each of the up to four bands comprises eight compressor settings: input gain, output gain, attack time, release time, threshold, ratio, soft/hard knee, and wet mix.
